Time and time again, Mandalay Bay is called one of the best hotels in Las Vegas, though you will need to have the money to spend on this fairly expensive establishment. However, if you’re looking for a luxury experience, hands down, this is the place for you to come to not only see the sights of Vegas, but also to relax in the best rooms and with the best amenities.
The large aquarium begins the bay theme of the hotel and casino, while the Balinese carvings and other slightly tropical touches evoke a sense of colonial style ñ but not in an overwhelming manner. The rooms are huge, some of the biggest on the strip, and they give you a full sized bathroom with a large soaking tub, shower, and double sinks. You can even request your own personal bathrobes to lounge in.
While Mandalay Bay is much further down the strip than you might expect, the monorail system hooks up hotel with Excalibur and the Luxor, so you can always head out of your accommodations for the day or the night. The pool area at Mandalay Bay is roomy and you won’t have troubles finding a place to soak up the sun ñ as well as some drinks from the friendly staff.
The food at Mandalay Bay is second to none ñ the Brazilian rumjungle, Border Grill, Bayside Buffet, Red Square, and Aureole. If you want to dress down for dinner, head to the House of Blues ñ and they also offer some of the hottest musical acts on a regular basis. Or at the current moment, Mandalay Bay is featuring Mamma Mia!.
The casino is also spacious, a vast improvement over some of the nearly claustrophobic gaming rooms that other casinos include.
Rooms at Mandalay Bay start at $99, but you are certainly getting a lot for the price of your reservation.
