Mandalay Bay Restaurants
With the airy feel of Mandalay Bay, it’s no wonder that this casino and hotel offers some of the freshest tastes in cuisine on the strip.
Aureole
With a celebrity chef to help create a fun and tasty menu, Aureole was certain to be a success from the beginning. Charlie Palmer has taken his New York based restaurant and imported it into the Vegas scene, but with a true to Vegas touches. Make sure to stop to see the wine tower that is four stories high and can only be accessed by wine ‘fairies.’ You’ll just have to see it to really get a feel for how this works. The dishes change according to the season, often bringing in the tastes of wine country to add spice to these overall American dishes.
Dinner is prix fixe at $75 per person, or $95 for a tasting menu. Reservations are required and the dining room is open Mondays through Thursdays from 6:00pm to 10:30pm, Fridays through Saturdays from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
Verandah
While actually adjacent to Mandalay Bay at the Four Seasons hotel, guests who want a more intimate dining experience should make their way to Verandah. This open and light restaurant offers an informal option as well as breakfast and lunch capability ñ something so rare in the Vegas strip. There’s also an afternoon tea Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm that you actually need to make reservations for as it’s such a popular gathering.
Breakfast is served daily from 6:30am (7:00am on Saturdays and Sundays) until 11:00am. Lunch is served from 11:00am to 3:00pm daily. Dinner is served from 5:00pm to 10:00pm nightly. There are additional dining options as well, so call for details. The dress code is casual.
Fleur de Lys
As a sort of tribute to his San Francisco based restaurant of the same name, Chef Hubert Keller has created a touch of France in the Mandalay Bay hotel. The brick walls that surround the dining area allow the guest to feel completely immersed in another world and eager to dress up to enjoy their evening. Even vegetarians will be able to choose a dinner from the three, four, or five course options. Without a doubt, the food at Fleur de Lys is some of the absolute best in Vegas.
Reservations are recommended and the dress code does call for a jacket. The menu offerings start at $79 for the three course option and Fleur de Lys is open daily from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
